AM/ PM Chef de
Partie/ Full and Part-Time Available Job Description:
We are looking for experienced and passionate Chef de Parties to join our team. Are you a chef in love with cooking, but don't like the late nights? Have you been searching for a real team environment? Have you heard the negatives in the industry about food service in senior living communities? I was in that boat before Prime Independent Living, and we as a team are looking to change everyone's mind of what dining in a senior living community can be! The ideal candidate will have a love for culinary, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are a restaurant in a senior living community, so love for seniors is a must! AM and PM shifts are available, full and part-time.
Key Non-Negotiable Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook from scratch a variety of dishes according to recipes and company standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and proficient manner for the best experience of our guests Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times. Assist Executive Chef in menu design, daily specials and special events Manage inventory and communicate supply needs Work in a team-oriented environment with good communication Adhere to portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in culinary or baking is a plus but not required Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines and kitchen equipment Strong in organizational and multitasking Excellent time-management abilities Food Handlers Certification required SERVSafe Certification preferred Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
