Duties Prepare and cook a variety of ramen and sushi dishes following established recipes and presentation standards Execute food preparation tasks including slicing, poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling with precision and care Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support high-volume production during busy service hours Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes that align with authentic Japanese cuisine standards Ensure all food production meets quality control guidelines, including recipe adherence and portion control Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences in a fine dining or casual setting Qualifications Proven experience as a ramen chef or sushi chef in a restaurant or fine dining environment Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food preparation Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices Experience operating kitchen equipment such as sushi rollers, rice cookers, grills, and other culinary tools Background in food industry roles including catering, high-volume production, or dietary department experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly valued to enhance communication within our diverse team Join us to bring authentic Japanese flavors to life!
