Job Description

Catering Chef Walters Wedding Estates The chief role of the Catering Chef is to support the Hub Chef and Sous Chef. The job is to get the right food, to the right place, at the right time and at the right temperature and cost. The Catering Chef activities include prepping, cooking, transporting and serving food. The Catering Chef must always dress professionally while on duty or on company property.
What You'll Do:
Takes direction for all day-to-day operations in the kitchen from the Hub Chef Perform and complete all assigned kitchen tasks without constant supervision Meets and/or exceeds established food preparation standards on a consistent basis. Practices the fundamentals of good cooking, preparation according to well-defined recipes, and excellent plating presentations while always discussing ways of improving the cuisine at the property. Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards. Maintains proper grooming and hygiene standards Meet weekly with Hub Chef and other key venue team members to review any ongoing concerns and implement appropriate action. Ensure that all sanitation and health code requirements are met and maintained. In doing so, promote and supervise the cleanliness and order of all service areas and report all maintenance concerns/needs promptly. Reports all equipment in the kitchen that needs maintenance Follows all applicable safety procedures specified for kitchen and food servers. Alerts Hub Chef to any food waste Able to perform additional duties as requested by management as and when required.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred
Required Experience:
1-2 years of successful culinary experience
Certifications:
Serve Safe Food Handlers Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours
Other:
