Sous Chef / Kitchen Lead - Nights & Weekends Russo New York Pizzeria & Restaurant - Bridgeland Russo New York Pizzeria & Restaurant in Bridgeland is hiring a hands-on Sous Chef / Kitchen Lead to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong kitchen experience, especially with pizza, pasta, and sauté, who can help lead the line during busy night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

Lead and support kitchen staff during service Work hands-on with pizza, pasta, sauté, prep, and line execution Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation Help manage ticket times during busy shifts Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness Assist with prep, inventory, ordering, and daily kitchen organization Train and motivate kitchen team members Communicate clearly with management and front-of-house staff

Requirements:

Previous sous chef, kitchen lead, or strong line cook experience Pizza, pasta, and sauté experience required Must be available nights and weekends Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Food handler or manager certification preferred
