Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen while supporting food service operations. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall efficiency of our culinary team. Duties Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients. Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area. Help with banquet setup and breakdown as required during special events. Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food service operations, including catering and banquet experience, is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong cleaning skills with an emphasis on sanitation practices in a kitchen setting. Basic cooking knowledge is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others in the hospitality industry. Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods during shifts.
