In this role, you will craft authentic, beautifully presented sushi dishes that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience. Your expertise in food handling, knife skills, and food safety will ensure every plate meets the highest standards of quality and freshness. We are looking for a motivated culinary professional eager to bring creativity and precision to our kitchen while maintaining a lively, energetic atmosphere. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with skill and attention to detail Ensure all ingredients are stored, handled, and prepared following strict food safety guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area in compliance with health regulations Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items and seasonal specials Monitor inventory levels of seafood, rice, nori, and other ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness Assist in training junior staff on proper sushi techniques, food handling, and safety procedures Serve dishes promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or fine dining environment Strong knife skills with the ability to expertly slice fish and prepare ingredients efficiently Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation specific to Japanese cuisine or sushi bars Proven background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for understanding special dietary needs Familiarity with food industry standards for food safety, handling, catering, and serving practices Excellent kitchen experience with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and efficiency Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Embark on an exciting culinary journey where your skills will create memorable dining moments!
