What You'll Be Doing:
As our Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver excellence in every dish.
Your day-to-day will include:
Assisting with daily food preparation and kitchen operations Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety Tracking and managing inventory; placing orders as needed Supporting line cooking, dish plating, and prep tasks during service Training and mentoring new team members Stepping into the Executive Chef's role when needed Ensuring hygiene and food safety protocols are always met Keeping kitchen operations smooth, timely, and efficient
Schedule :
This is a rotational position : 5 weeks on, 10 days off This schedule is mandatory , regardless of where you live (local or commuting) Flexibility is essential—non-compliance may result in disciplinary action What You Bring to the
Table:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills A solid understanding of food preparation, recipes, and presentation Working knowledge of inventory control, ordering, and kitchen workflow Ability to operate modern kitchen equipment (e.g. Rational ovens) Comfortable using basic computer systems for reporting and ordering Excellent communication—both written and verbal A calm and proactive approach in fast-paced environments ServeSafe Certification (required)
Technical Skills & Abilities:
Fluent in English (spoken and written) Strong team player who leads by example Ability to manage staff and ensure goals and timelines are met Skilled in conflict resolution and guest interaction Can effectively host staff briefings, safety meetings, and menu overviews Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet for long periods Comfortable working in hot or cold environments as required Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures—and a commitment to uphold them Perks & Benefits Competitive compensation Accommodation provided during rotation Competitive pay with quarterly performance bonus.
