Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Foodservice Sales and Strategy, the position will support the Marketing, Merchandising, and Sales functions related to Core-Mark fresh and foodservice. Responsible for training and educating the Core-Mark sales team on food trends, item specifications, program elements, and food preparation. The position is responsible for providing culinary support to the sales organization and will partner with key fresh and foodservice executives on product and menu concept initiatives. The Corporate Chef will provide leadership as a subject matter expert in fresh and food service on multiple projects related to the company's growth strategy within the industry.
Responsibilities:
Mentor, lead, and teach food concepts to others. Conducts in-house and external training seminars and industry-related events. Performs other related duties as assigned. Promote food service at retail by providing examples of food preparation, merchandising, and sell-through. Continuously increase knowledge and understanding of branded items and programs and share this knowledge with our customers and sales organization. Design customer menus. Develop new ideas for customers. Organize, schedule, and conduct on-site and off-site training with division sales teams on fresh and food service initiatives. Availability to travel 50% Develop training manuals and job aids associated with corporate programs to aid with education on program execution Attend internal and external trade shows, representing Core-Mark in the fresh and food service industry.

Benefits Information Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts or Hotel/Restaurant Management required.
  • 5-8 years industry experience working in foodservice wholesale or retail. Foodservice at retail experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership success in collaborating, forging relationships and working effectively across functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills - 1 on 1 or with small or large groups.
  • Ability to confidently conduct virtual presentations through videography or related.
  • Excellent analytical and PC skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Adobe.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
