Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation. Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Use knife skills proficiently to chop, slice, dice, and portion ingredients efficiently. Support food preparation tasks such as marinating, assembling dishes, and garnishing plates for visual appeal. Maintain a clean workstation by regularly sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout each shift. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations during busy hours. Help with ordering, and vendor relationship Requirements Prior experience in food handling, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus. Strong culinary skills including meal preparation, food safety protocols, and proper knife techniques. Experience with menu planning, catering, or food service operations is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
