Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry preparation and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all desserts and baked goods are not only delicious but also visually appealing. This role requires creativity, precision, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Execute cake decorating techniques to create visually stunning cakes and pastries for various occasions. Ensure all food production meets safety and quality standards by adhering to food safety protocols. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and develop new dessert offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Assist in catering events by preparing large quantities of pastries as needed. Conduct regular inventory checks of baking supplies and communicate needs to management. Experience Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a culinary setting. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices. Proficiency in baking techniques, cake decorating, and pastry production. Familiarity with culinary tools such as knives and mixers used in pastry preparation. A background in catering is a plus but not required.
