Physician Care Homes at Magnolia House is a small, home-like memory care community designed for individuals living with dementia. We believe care should feel personal, calm, and relationship-centered, not rushed or institutional. We are looking for a Chef/Culinary Coordinator who enjoys creating home-style meals and meaningful dining experiences while helping shape the rhythm and atmosphere of daily life within the home. This role is responsible for meal preparation, menu planning, food ordering, kitchen oversight, and creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents and families. At Magnolia House, dining is about more than food. It is about comfort, connection, routine, and helping residents feel at home. What We're Looking For Experience in culinary, hospitality, senior living, or a related setting Warm, organized, and dependable personality Strong food preparation and kitchen management skills Passion for creating meaningful experiences through food and hospitality Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the care team Availability to work every weekend Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and prepare meals in advance Experience working in dementia care is preferred Because Magnolia House is intentionally small, our team members play an active role in many aspects of daily life. We are looking for someone who values teamwork, flexibility, and building genuine relationships with residents and families. Schedule & Weekend Responsibilities Magnolia House is a 24-hour residential community, and our culinary program operates 7 days a week. The Chef/Culinary Coordinator will be scheduled to work every weekend, with regular days off during the week. Because meals must continue to be prepared and served on the Chef/Culinary Coordinator's days off, this position requires thoughtful advance planning and food preparation. The Chef/Culinary Coordinator will be responsible for preparing and organizing food ahead of scheduled days off to ensure residents continue to receive fresh, nutritious, home-style meals throughout the week. This includes planning menus, completing necessary prep, labeling and storing prepared foods appropriately, and providing clear instructions to the team when needed. This schedule is designed to provide consistent culinary leadership on weekends while allowing for weekday time off.
