Taylor House is a brand new upscale casual restaurant coming to the Walking Mall of Old Town Winchester. We have a beautiful historic location central to the pedestrian mall with a fully renovated dining room and bar. We will focus on exceptional service for our guests and craft cocktails while cultivating a warm and welcoming environment. We are seeking team members that have a desire to create something to be proud about. The owners of Taylor House have owned and operated restaurants for nearly 10 years.

Responsibilities:

Lead daily kitchen operations and oversee kitchen staff Help to ensure consistency in execution of dishes, including plating and garnishing Train chefs on plating and prep techniques Ensure profitability of kitchen through food inventory management, minimizing waste Work with GM to maintain labor goals of kitchen staff Collaborate on menu changes and seasonal adjustments Establish SOP and pars for prep work and recipes Develop a positive culture of teamwork in the kitchen Ensure all opening and closing responsibilities are consistently completed by team Meet all food safety standards

Skills/Qualifications:

Previous leadership experience in a high-volume or high-end kitchen environment Food Safety Certification (ServSafe required within 1 month of hiring) Ability to manage food cost/inventory, as well as labor percentage Need a strong understanding of all kitchen operations to ensure communication and teamwork A love of teaching and bringing up the chefs around you A contagious passion for hospitality that can be a backbone of our BOH team Must be able to keep calm under high-volume nights An ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed This is a position that can be a step up for the right candidate. We are developing a restaurant with a cool and chic cocktail program combined with refined classic dishes (that leave room for expression and creativity).

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
