Compensation:
Starting pay $26
- $28 based on production levels.
About the role:
FogRose is seeking a skilled and detail oriented pastry chef to craft and finish our signature cafe display case offerings. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-end pastries that meet our exact standards for texture and visual presentation. You will be producing out of our shared commissary kitchen (located in Redmond), preparing pristine finished items and components designed for our Kirkland location. This position offers a steady 30 hour weekly schedule with immediate opportunities to pick up additional hours supporting our growing catering department.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute standardized FogRose recipes with precision and absolute consistency, strictly adhering to established formulas, techniques and portions without deviation
- Follow weekly commissary prep efficiently to ensure power levels are met and all items are completed within established deadlines
- Utilize advanced piping and finishing techniques to ensure every cafe display item reflects refined visual standards
- Work professionally in a shared commercial commissary kitchen environment
- proactively coordinating equipment schedules and share workstations respectfully with other culinary teams and maintain meticulous, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
- Work autonomously during focus production blocks while communicating seamlessly when collaborating alongside team members and commissary partners.
- Maintain strict temperature logs, proper rotation, labeling, and safe storage practices for all prep goods and raw ingredientsQualifications & Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience in a professional pastry kitchen, high-end bakery or upscale restaurant pastry department
- High proficiency with piping bags, delicate garnishes, precise piping skills and assembly for fine pastry and display case items
- Demonstrate the ability to pace production, prioritize prep, and consistently hit delivery and pack out deadlines
- Comfortable managing your time independently while holding yourself accountable to the highest level of craftsmanship
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds and navigate a commercial production facility safely
- Valid Washington State Food Handler's card or ability to obtain one prior to your start date.
- Personal transportation is highly encouraged as we have two locations and occasionally will need you to transport yourself to each location and/or offsite catering locations under certain circumstances
