Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this vital role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, supervising food preparation, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding dining experiences for our residents and guests. Your leadership will help uphold our standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency across all dining services. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth shift management Supervise food production, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations Lead food preparation activities while maintaining strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs Coordinate catering events and banquet services with attention to dietary needs and special requests Supervise kitchen staff, providing coaching, training, and leadership to foster a collaborative team environment Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety Skills Extensive banquet experience with the ability to coordinate large-scale events efficiently Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary setting Strong background in dietary department operations and food management practices Expertise in food production, menu planning, and catering services for fine dining environments Demonstrated team management skills with a focus on leadership and staff development Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations within the food industry Proficiency in food safety sanitizing procedures, cooking techniques, and kitchen management systems Excellent food service experience with a focus on hospitality excellence and serving diverse clientele Ability to manage shifts effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences while supporting our residents' well-being.
