In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in sushi artistry, knife skills, and ingredient selection will elevate our dining experience. Duties Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and creativity Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in all work areas Select fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to preserve quality and freshness Develop innovative sushi recipes and presentation techniques to enhance menu offerings Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders efficiently during busy service times Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Educate team members on sushi preparation techniques and culinary best practices Skills Extensive experience in sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine techniques Strong knife skills and knowledge of seafood handling standards Ability to create visually appealing sushi rolls and platter presentations Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures Excellent attention to detail and consistency in dish execution Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Passion for culinary arts with a focus on creativity and innovation Experience with culinary training or curriculum development is a plus Familiarity with kitchen management, inventory control, and team collaboration Strong communication skills for working effectively with team members and management
