Job Description

Overview Join our renowned Northern Wisconsin Supper Club, celebrated for its picturesque setting and exceptional destination weddings and events. Summary We're seeking a talented Event Chef to lead culinary operations for high-profile events, crafting memorable dining experiences for weddings, corporate gatherings, and special occasions. You'll collaborate with our event planning team to design custom menus, oversee kitchen staff during events, and ensure every dish reflects our commitment to quality, local flavors and delivers the Wow experience promised in our mission statement. Responsibilities Design and execute creative, high-quality menus tailored to client preferences. Lead kitchen operations during events, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of dishes for groups of 50-300 guests. Manage food inventory, sourcing local ingredients when possible, and maintaining cost-effective practices. Supervise and train event kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all culinary operations. Work closely with event coordinators to align culinary offerings with event themes and client expectations. Requirements 3+ years of professional culinary experience, with at least 1 year in event or banquet cooking. Proven expertise in menu planning and execution for large-scale events, preferably weddings or fine dining. Leadership skills to manage and motivate a kitchen team. Culinary degree or equivalent experience; ServSafe certification preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with event staff and clients. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
