Duties Prepare and assemble sushi using traditional techniques, ensuring adherence to recipe standards and presentation quality Assist in ingredient preparation, including slicing fish, preparing rice, and organizing supplies for efficient kitchen workflow Operate kitchen equipment such as rice cookers, knives, and sushi rolling mats safely and effectively Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment Support in menu planning by suggesting innovative sushi options and ensuring consistency across dishes Participate in food production for high-volume service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders Follow all food handling protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients Qualifications Previous experience in food service or culinary roles, particularly with dietary aide or restaurant experience preferred Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures within a commercial kitchen setting Strong knife skills with the ability to handle delicate ingredients such as fish and vegetables precisely Experience with food preparation techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and cooking various proteins Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure Join our team to elevate your culinary skills in a lively environment where quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are our top priorities!
