Job Description

Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef for a new small, intimate, reservation-only fine-dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and management, with experience in fine dining. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, creativity in menu planning, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Plan and create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Be able to accommodate special dietary needs. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and service standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry. Strong background in fine dining, or restaurant management preferred. Experience in menu planning, food production, and kitchen management. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory management and control. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
