Cultural Homestay International (CHI) is looking for enthusiastic, community-minded individuals to join our team as Community Administrators (CAs) . This is a flexible, home-based, independent contractor opportunity where you'll support international au pairs and American host families while helping create life-changing cultural exchange experiences. Whether you're a parent, educator, recruiter, community leader, or simply someone who enjoys connecting people, we'd love to hear from you! About CHI Founded in 1980, Cultural Homestay International (CHI) is a non-profit educational exchange organization dedicated to promoting international understanding through cultural exchange. Every year, we help bring carefully screened au pairs from around the world to live with American host families, creating meaningful relationships that last a lifetime. As a Community Administrator, you'll play an important role in helping these families and au pairs have a successful and rewarding experience. What You'll Do As the local CHI representative in your community, you'll: Recruit host families through networking, referrals, community outreach and social media Respond to inquiries from prospective host families Interview and approve host family applicants Welcome and support au pairs when they arrive Ensure host families and au pairs have a successful start together Stay in regular contact with both host families and au pairs throughout the year Organize fun monthly cultural activities and community events Provide guidance, encouragement, and conflict resolution when needed Coordinate an annual Family Day event Complete required reports and documentation Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of State regulations We're Looking For Someone Who Is Friendly, outgoing and enjoys working with people Organized and able to manage their own schedule Comfortable using social media and online communication tools Passionate about cultural exchange and international experiences A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills A problem solver who remains calm under pressure Reliable, professional and self-motivated Qualifications Must reside in Gilbert, AZ Associate degree or higher preferred Strong computer skills Reliable transportation Ability to work independently from home Previous experience in recruiting, education, customer service, social work, hospitality, or community engagement is a plus—but not required.
