The Doorman at The LaFayette is the first impression of the hotel — a welcoming presence who sets the tone the second guests arrive. This role also supports safety and order at the front door, so you must be comfortable stepping in when situations get challenging. Hospitality always comes first , but confidence and awareness matter. What You'll Do Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism Help guide arrivals, departures, and guest flow during busy times Maintain a polished, organized front entrance presence Support entry control when needed (lines, crowding, disruptions, intoxicated guests) De-escalate issues calmly and involve management/security when appropriate Communicate clearly with Front Desk, Security, and leadership teams What We're Looking For Guest-first mindset with strong people skills Confident, calm, and respectful under pressure Experience in hospitality, security, nightlife, or guest-facing roles is a plus Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays Professional appearance and strong judgment If you're great with people and know how to hold the line when needed, this is the role.
