We celebrate our associates. This position is responsible for scheduling all funeral service needs inclusive of musicians and officiants. This position will also be responsible for coordinating the service team schedules in conjunction with scheduled chapel times according to the needs of business. Rose Hills Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Perform a variety of customer service functions: including answering phones, filing, data entry, and proofreading. Work within our HMIS system to read/schedule arrangements needs accordingly. Prepare checks requests when needed and monthly statement reports. Speak with families to coordinate musical selections. Recruit quality musicians and clergy to assist RH families. Build strong relationships with different religious affiliates, officiants, clergy, etc. and work with them daily for purposes of scheduling. Build strong relationships with our audio/visual technicians and work with them daily for purposes of scheduling. Strong audio/visual background w/computer skills to oversee and maintain equipment. Delegates duties to service team in a courteous and professional manner. Direct and/or assist with funeral services when needed. Handle customer changes with willingness, friendliness, and a "can-do" attitude: accommodate customer needs with flexibility to ensure a high level of positive customer service.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate must be able to take direction from the Funeral Service Director or Assistant Director to provide excellent service to grieving families. Adhere to safety rules and regulations and report unsafe practices to management. Participate in training and skill development opportunities to improve competency and customer service. Use effective communication to convey information to fellow associates, other departments and management team. Abide by the Company dress code and any department requests regarding work attire. Adhere to company attendance policy. Candidate will perform and execute all tasks and directives as assigned from supervision and/or management. Candidate will be required to work onsiteExperience & Education:
Minimum of 2 year customer service-industry knowledge a plus Stable employment historyHigh School Diploma or GED Qualifications:
Must exhibit good written and oral communication as well as interpersonal skills Must be willing to wear a radio/ radio and ear piece for consistent communication during your scheduled shift. Must be able to follow directions Must possess problem solving skills, detail oriented and display a high level of integrity. Punctuality and sense of urgency to serve families daily Self-motivated and flexible Warmth, compassion, and empathy Ability to work positively with other people Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and differentiate level of importance Ability to work in a highly emotional environment Knowledge of audio/visual media a plus Bi-Lingual a plus Ability to train others Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays Must be able to stand for long durations of time Must have the ability to frequently lift a minimum of 50lbs. and occasionally lift 100+ lbs and work with and around human remains Must possess a valid California Driver's License reflecting a good driving recordCompensation:
