The Opportunity As a Hospitality Associate, you will be one of the first points of contact for our members and guests and play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and positive Chelsea Piers experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, communicates well, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will assist members and guests with questions, transactions, bookings, account needs, and general facility information while delivering a high level of hospitality at every interaction. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet and assist members, guests, and visitors. Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service. Proactively identify customer needs and provide accurate information and assistance. Develop a strong understanding of Chelsea Piers programs, services, schedules, facility hours, and availability. Process point-of-sale transactions, registrations, and drop-in session bookings accurately. Assist with basic account questions and direct more complex inquiries to the appropriate team member. Answer phone calls and respond to or direct inquiries regarding memberships, sports programs, events, drop-in sessions, and other Chelsea Piers offerings. Provide directions and information regarding Chelsea Piers facilities, restaurants, tenants, and other on-site businesses. Rotate between Hospitality desks throughout the facility as needed. Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional front desk environment. Communicate effectively with other departments to help resolve customer questions and concerns. Maintain a professional appearance and follow Chelsea Piers uniform and name badge standards. Support teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
Schedule:
Part-Time, early morning, evening, and weekend shifts available
Compensation:

Experience in hospitality, recreation, fitness, retail, or another customer-facing environment is a plus. Strong customer service mindset and a genuine interest in helping others. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Professional phone and email etiquette. Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented. Ability to learn new systems, programs, and information quickly. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed when handling customer concerns. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
