Role Summary The Onsite Gym Attendant supports the daily operations of the Gym facility and amenities at Doral Isles. The gym attendant typically helps keep the fitness center clean, welcoming, and ready for residents to use. Responsibilities Greet residents and guests and verify access according to community rules Explain gym hours, amenities, and posted rules Wipe down equipment and clean fitness areas, mats, counters, and restrooms Restock towels, wipes, sanitizer, and other supplies Inspect equipment and report damage, malfunctions, or safety hazards Keep equipment, weights, and shared spaces organized Monitor the gym for rule violations and refer concerns to management Respond to resident questions and report service requests Maintain attendance, incident, and maintenance logs as required Open and close the facility, including basic security checks Follow the community's procedures for emergencies and incidents Provide general administrative support related to activities as needed Disclaimer This description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties. One year of customer service experience, preferably in a fitness, recreation, hospitality, or residential setting Experience keeping shared spaces clean, stocked, and organized Comfort explaining rules politely and handling resident concerns professionally Ability to spot equipment problems or safety hazards, document them, and notify management Reliability when working independently, including opening or closing the facility CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred Capability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance. Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely. Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks. Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, outdoors). Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required.
