Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support at the front desk of our medical office. Responsibilities
  • Assure readiness of the reception area for each working day; open the building at the designated time and make sure all lights, equipment, and computers are fully operational at the start of business hours
  • Greet patients and visitors, direct all patients to appropriate location/area
  • Register patients
  • Determine the financial status of patients and their insurance eligibility
  • Ensure all appointments are made before the patient exits the office
  • Assist patients in accurately completing forms and documents
  • Check in patients
  • Verify insurance coverage
  • Import demographic and financial policies
  • Import HIPAA policies
  • Verify fees due and inform checkout on how much to collect
  • Schedule patient appointments according to doctor's orders in EMR and/or referrals
  • Secure the building at the close of each business/working day
  • Respect and maintain privacy and dignity of patients; assure patient confidentiality at all times
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • Follow OSHA standards at all times
  • Participate in staff and educational meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager
