TB5L focuses on increasing access and quality for every three and four year old in the metro Louisville area. Family Navigators meet families where they by enrolling preschoolers, helping families apply for assistance programs, recruiting community providers, and promoting the value of early childhood education. Dynamic individuals with experience are needed to generate excitement about the opportunities early learning offers. TB5L is responsible for direct engagement of families, through a meaningful and comprehensive approach. A person who can focus on the needs of families in our community will find the most success.
Reports to:
Family Navigator Manager Functions and Responsibilities
  • Communicate to parents the value, accessibility, and affordability of high-quality preschools
  • Increase early learning enrollment
  • Guide families through the enrollment process, including the completion and submission of required documentation, subsidy applications, tuition assistance applications, and eligibility requirements.
  • Attend community events to talk about services with families and enrollment in early learning environments
  • Connect families to community resources, public benefits, and support services that promote family stability and child success.
  • Represent Thrive By 5 Louisville at community events, family engagement activities, and outreach opportunities to increase awareness of available services and supports.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, early childhood education programs, and community partners to improve access to high-quality early learning opportunities.
  • Participate in required staff meetings, training sessions, professional development activities, and organizational retreats to support team collaboration and continuous learning
  • Support the annual strategic objectives and work plan for outreach and enrollment as outlined by the board of directors and Executive Director Required Qualifications
  • Associates Degree; Bachelors Degree preferred In lieu of education an equivalent experience of 4 years will be considered.
  • Exceptional communication and community engagement skills
  • Experience in sales and marketing with a track record of meeting targets and goals
  • English language fluency; bilingual candidates preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood education preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential inquiries
  • Ability to manage customer relations with a high-level of quality
  • Cultural competency and ability to interact with people of all backgrounds
  • Enthusiasm for the Thrive By 5 Louisville mission of helping families access high-quality, affordable preschool for their children
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
