Duties and Responsibilities:
Cultivate an inviting and supportive atmosphere, and become an integral part of our climbing community. Greet every customer who walks through the doors with eye contact, a smile, and a verbal acknowledgement. Embrace customer experience as a cornerstone of your role, engaging with visitors in a lively and warm manner. Actively interact with customers, going the extra mile to make their experiences unforgettable. Stay up-to-date and informed on facility offerings found on the website, gym-management software, any recent communications, or elsewhere. Effectively manage risk in an indoor climbing environment. Check-in customers upon entering the facility, ensure all participants have an up-to-date participant agreement and have viewed the orientation video. Ring up retail products at the Point of Sale correctly. Help customers match retail products to their needs and experience. Keep the retail area clean and organized. This could include stocking shelves, dusting, re-organizing, etc. Manage customer bookings for all events, classes, clinics, etc. Stay up to date with booking and cancellation policies. Complete all daily tasks. Answer facility phone calls in a professional manner. Respond to and triage facility emails in a professional manner. Collect outstanding balances on customers' accounts when noticed. Conduct routine safety-walks to ensure that all customers are using the equipment and walls appropriately. Conduct Top Rope belay tests to ensure that belayers meet our safety standards. Conduct routine spot cleaning and restocking throughout the restrooms, fitness area, and rest of the facility. Uphold the gyms rules, procedures, and policies. Ability to manage your time clock appropriately Event Instructor duties and responsibilities as required Climbing Instructor duties and responsibilities as required Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in and around climbing gyms. Proficiency in top rope belaying. Outstanding interpersonal skills, allowing you to connect with climbers of all levels and backgrounds. A proactive problem-solving mindset, matched with a keen sense of fun and adventure. Proficiency in lead belaying is preferred but not required. Experience working in the climbing, fitness, or hospitality industries is preferred but not required. Experience using Redpoint HQ is preferred but not required. Must be 18 years of age or older
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.35 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 20.0 per week
