Job Description
We are a two-physician concierge family medicine practice in Rockville looking for one experienced Medical Assistant to be our clinical right hand. If you are tired of being rushed, tired of rooming a patient every seven minutes, and tired of never finding out what happened to the person you sent to the ER — this is a different kind of job. We converted to a concierge model in 2025 specifically so we could practice medicine the way it should be practiced: a small patient panel, long visit slots, real preventive care, and time to actually get to the bottom of things. Our MA gets the same benefit. You will know our patients by name. What you'll do Room patients, obtain vitals and histories, and prepare them for the visit EKGs, injections, immunizations, and point-of-care testing Manage vaccine and medical supply inventory Assist with in-office procedures Handle prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, and lab result routing under physician direction Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical stock Track preventive care gaps and help run patient recall lists Work alongside our two front-office staff as a small, tight team What we're looking for Required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program At least 2 years of hands-on MA experience in an outpatient setting Confident, independent skills Comfort with EKGs, injections, and immunization administration Working knowledge of an electronic health record (eClinicalworks) Excellent, warm communication with patients — our members expect a high-touch experience Preferred CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA (NHA) certification Family medicine, internal medicine, or primary care background Experience in a small private practice Familiarity with prior authorizations and pharmacy workflows preferred Who thrives here: someone organized enough to keep a small practice running smoothly without being told, and kind enough that patients look forward to seeing you. What we offer $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience and certification Direct mentorship from two board-certified family physicians (MD, FAAFP) with master's degrees in preventive medicine A practice with a genuine plant-forward, root-cause, preventive care philosophy — if that's how you think about health, you'll fit right in A small, stable, respectful team Integrity, always doing the right thing, high degree of initiative, accountability and ability to independently solve problems. We offer a competitive salary based on previous experience. Compliant with criminal background check
