Job Description
Job Summary From the moment a patient first calls the office or walks through the door, the Patient Concierge is the first face or voice our patients will experience. The Patient Concierge's role is always establishing and maintaining a "first-impressions" environment in the practice. The Patient Concierge performs a wide range of duties to ensure the Medical Practice runs smoothly and efficiently by providing assistance to its medical practitioners, patients, teammates and visitors. Overall, such duties include scheduling appointments, greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, maintaining accounts and records, preparation of exam rooms, sterilizing medical equipment, and other tasks as needed. Job Responsibilities Good knowledge of HRT is required. Onsite training is provided. Creates a welcoming atmosphere by greeting patients and visitors to the practice Checks patients in and out in a timely, friendly manner Outstanding professional phone management skills Scheduling appointments for patients based on their individual needs Comforts patients by answering any questions they may have Assisting new potential patients with information on BHRT and our practice standards Assisting existing patients with any needs in relation to their hormone treatment therapy- prescription renewals, answering questions related to side effects, taking precise notes in EMR and appropriately tasking medical providers Prepares exam rooms for pellet insertion procedures and properly sanitizes room after, ensuring a sterile environment is consistently maintained Maintains patient accounts Obtaining and updating personal and financial information while preserving patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA Performing/maintaining Chart Prep audits in anticipation for appointments- Lab results, mammograms/PSAs, consent forms, etc. Ensuring all patients maintain a zero balance by collecting all payments at the time of service Sterilizes instruments and maintains sterile equipment used in procedures Ensures that all sharps are disposed of safely and sharps containers are emptied in a timely manner Attends events as needed Main site location, Cherry Hill, with required travel to future locations.
