• Salternative Spa Salternative Spa is looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive Front Desk Spa Associate to join our team.

This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organised and relaxing experience for every guest. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, provides excellent customer service and understands that working at the front desk of a spa involves much more than answering phones. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome every guest upon arrival. Check guests in and out efficiently and professionally. Walk and guide guests throughout the spa, including to lockers, treatment rooms, the Wellness Lounge and other facilities. Explain the spa experience and help new guests feel comfortable and informed. Answer phone calls, emails and guest enquiries. Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments accurately. Learn and confidently use our booking, payment and other spa systems. Process payments, gift cards, memberships and retail purchases. Learn our treatments, services, memberships, packages and products. Assist with rebooking and recommending appropriate services, memberships and products. Communicate with massage therapists, estheticians and other providers to keep the day running smoothly. Monitor the daily schedule and prepare for upcoming appointments. Reset and clean guest areas after each client as needed. Continually clean and tidy throughout the spa during your shift. Keep reception, the Wellness Lounge, locker areas, bathrooms, hallways and other shared areas clean and presentable. Restock towels, robes, slippers, refreshments and other supplies. Assist with laundry, folding and general organisation when needed. Keep tea, coffee and water areas clean, stocked and inviting. Complete opening and closing duties. Assist with spa parties, private events, group bookings and promotional events. Help prepare and set up event spaces before guests arrive, including refreshments, decorations, gift bags and other event details when required. Help welcome and guide event guests and ensure groups stay organised and on schedule throughout their spa experience. Assist with resetting and cleaning event spaces following events. Be willing to step in and help other team members wherever needed to maintain the overall guest experience. What We're Looking For Friendly, welcoming and genuinely enjoys working with people. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual and professional. Organised and able to multitask in a busy environment. Comfortable learning new technology and systems. Detail-oriented and able to notice when something needs cleaning, restocking or organising without always needing to be asked . Comfortable performing regular cleaning duties as part of the role. Confident answering phones and communicating with guests. Able to remain calm and professional when handling complaints, last-minute changes or busy periods. Willing to learn about spa, wellness and esthetic services. Able to help with events and group bookings when required. A proactive team player who is happy to step in wherever needed. Spa, salon, hotel, hospitality or customer-service experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Please Note This is an active, hands-on front desk position . The role is not limited to sitting at reception. Cleaning, resetting areas, restocking, assisting with events and helping throughout the spa are regular and important responsibilities.
