Job Description

Company Overview Since 1846, our world-renowned passenger vessels have been providing up close boat tours in Niagara Falls, NY, USA to customers near and far. The 2020 season saw the debut of two new, all-electric, emission-free vessels, the first of their kind built in the U.S. Job Summary This position's primary focus is direct oversight of the customers in line at Admissions for ticket sales, and for the sales of the Maid of the Mist boat ride tickets, using the company POS system. Must have availability to work both weekdays and weekend shifts
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for monitoring the entrance line and answering guest questions
  • Required, with training to proficiently operate a computer POS
  • Are trained in cash handling
  • Will work with tour groups as well as individual guests.
  • Other duties or tasks may be assigned based on organizational needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the role applicants MUST meet the following criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills working with visitors with diverse backgrounds and native languages
  • Strong attention to detail follow-through
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Perform tasks independently with limited or no direction
  • The ability to work professionally with the public
  • The position is fully outdoors with some areas of shading and rain coverage
  • Must be able to maintain a stationary position throughout the shift
ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, light lifting, carrying. All the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to clearly read, speak, and understand English. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions while working independently. Must be authorized to work in the US. Background check may be required.
Pay:
$18.30 - $18.80 per hour
