The Emergency Department Concierge provides non-clinical support to patients, families, and staff from arrival through discharge or admission.

Job Details Job Responsibilities:

Welcome and round on patients and families in the ED, addressing comfort needs and providing updates on status from registration to discharge/admission. Facilitate communication between patients, families, and care teams. Offer non-clinical services such as warm blankets, pillows, and access to resources (e.g., phone chargers, social work, chaplain). Assist ED staff with answering call lights, addressing patient needs, and patient transport (as trained). Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection control and hospital standards. Identify and address service recovery opportunities; escalate issues when needed. Promote a culture of hospitality, respect, and excellent customer service. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma required. Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced customer service environment (healthcare preferred). Previous patient care experience strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations; adaptable and solutions-oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
