POSITION SUMMARY
The Patient Relations Specialist is a role with responsibility for providing support to Premier Health's patient relations and patient experience/service team across the organization. The Specialist acts as a first point of contact within the department, receiving and triaging calls, walk-ins, emails, and service alerts. Other duties include maintaining an accurate log of patient concerns and requests, coordinating complaint/grievance case assignments to patient representatives to assure compliance with policies and legal requirements, and maintaining the confidentiality of patient and other sensitive information. The Specialist will also provide occasional clerical support to the department in the form of supply ordering, maintenance requests, etc.

High School diploma/GED required
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
N/A Experience:
1-3 years of job-related experience. Prior job title or occupational experience: Customer Service Knowledge/Skills Demonstrated ability to interact with and understand people from different cultural, socioeconomic, or other backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to demonstrate compassion, fairness, and an inclusive approach to a wide variety of individuals and groups from within and outside of the organization. Ability to interact with patients and families of varying degrees of illness, under stressful and/or emergency situations. Proven exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to change focus rapidly with minimal disruption to productivity and quality. Computer skills with proficiency in keyboarding, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.), data management required. Prior experience with electronic medical record platform a plus. High attention to detail, demonstrated excellent planning and time management skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to maintain the security of patients and other confidential information.
