This position is essential in driving engagement and providing world-class member experience that is the Club's hallmark. The Front Desk is responsible for welcoming members and guests visiting the Club by providing gracious hospitality in directing their full experience. The Front Desk serves as the central member information resource and provides key information as members and guests interface with the Club.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary point of contact for members and guests upon arrival, deliver a warm, professional, and personalized experience Management and supervision of the Front Desk in the following: Greeting and welcoming members and guests upon arrival Dining and lodging reservations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless communication between departments Check-in/Check-out of overnight accommodations Updating and managing reservation system and records Answer, screen and transfer calls to various departments of the Club Anticipate and address member and guest needs, concerns or complaints promptly and professionally Work closely with the Food & Beverage Department (dining reservations), Housekeeping Department (lodging reservations), and Communications Department to ensure consistent delivery of top-tier service Manage all on-line, in-person and phone reservations for restaurants, special events and overnight guest rooms Uphold and embody the values, history, and traditions of the Merion Cricket Club through every interaction Must be able to answer questions and address concerns Keeping up to date with the Club's programming, events, and activities to better serve our members on a daily basis Manage valet services in collaboration with Catering department Serve as concierge to overnight guests Develops weekly Front Desk team schedules Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area that reflects the standards and traditions of the Club Understand the culture of MCC and be an ambassador for the
Club Skills/Qualifications:
Proven experience in hospitality, guest services, or private club setting Proficient in Microsoft 365 Ability to learn Club Management Software quickly and accurately (currently Colbalt Club Management) Front desk, operations, concierge or member services experience required Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, polished, and professional demeanor Strong problem-solving capabilities Ability to deliver high-touch, personalized service in a discreet and respectful manner Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Professional appearance consistent with a private club environment Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of ownership and pride in work
