Job Description

Job Purpose The Intake Assistant supports the admissions process by welcoming new clients, coordinating intake and funding-related documentation, and assisting with the collection, documentation, and secure handling of client identification, valuables (safe items), medications, cash, and transportation records, including driver incident reports and medication chain-of-custody forms. This role helps ensure a safe, organized, and positive admission experience for clients entering treatment. Duties and Responsibilities Greet new clients upon arrival and help ensure they feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported during the admission process. Observe and report concerns regarding a client's initial physical, emotional, or behavioral stability to appropriate clinical or nursing staff. Serve as the primary point of contact for SL drivers upon arrival, collecting and processing transport paperwork, client medications, and related admission documents. Communicate with team when a client arrives and driver is on site. Inspect transport vehicles following client drop-off and report any damage, safety concerns, or excessive clutter to the appropriate supervisor. Answer calls and respond to client/family/staff inquiries. Verify and collect client demographic, insurance, and required admission documentation, including identification, insurance cards, and debit cards. Maintain accurate intake records in the client charts. Fax paperwork to CAO and or SCA for each client to ensure funding is maintained while in treatment. Prepare and keep inventory of admission packets and SL bags for new clients. Assist with accepting and sorting donated clothing, hygiene products, and other client items purchased or donated for the clients. Assist Intake Coordinators with accepting and processing client drop-offs. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming admission environment. Perform clerical and administrative duties as needed. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications H.S. Diploma or equivalent (Required) Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department (Required)
Pay:
From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
