Job Overview Disc Centers of America Reading is a growing specialty healthcare office in Wyomissing, PA. We are looking for a dependable, professional, and outgoing Front Desk / Customer Service Representative who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing an excellent patient experience. This is not a position for someone who simply wants to sit at a front desk and answer phones. We are looking for someone who can communicate confidently, build relationships with patients, stay organized, follow up consistently, and take initiative when something needs to be done. The right person will be warm and welcoming, comfortable speaking on the phone, able to handle multiple responsibilities, and willing to learn the administrative side of a medical office. Responsibilities Greet patients and create a welcoming, professional experience Answer incoming calls with confidence and professionalism Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Respond to patient questions and route clinical questions appropriately Follow up with prospective patients who have contacted the office Call leads and help convert inquiries into scheduled consultations Collect and accurately record patient payments Verify and update patient information Assist with insurance verification and administrative follow-up Assist with billing, case documentation, and medical-office administrative tasks Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email Work closely with the doctor and clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Learn office systems, procedures, and software Help wherever needed rather than waiting to be asked Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-office environment What We're Looking For Strong customer-service skills Excellent phone communication Friendly, confident, and professional personality Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable learning new computer systems Able to multitask in a busy environment Able to communicate professionally with patients who may be in pain, frustrated, or nervous Comfortable following up with prospective patients and discussing services Takes initiative and looks for ways to help the team Interested in a stable, long-term position Professional appearance and demeanor Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: Medical or dental front desk Patient scheduling Customer service Call center Sales Lead follow-up Insurance verification Medical billing Reception Hospitality Banking Healthcare experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person with excellent customer-service and communication skills. Language Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. The ability to communicate comfortably with Spanish-speaking patients and team members is a strong plus. Schedule This position requires flexibility within our regular office schedule and the ability to assist with opening and closing responsibilities . Pay:
