Job Description
General Description Advocate Health Advisors is seeking an advanced level Agent Support Specialist to provide responsive, knowledgeable support to our network of nationally licensed sales agents. This role is centered in a fast-paced environment which focuses on answering inquiries via phone and email, while ensuring compliant practices. You will be a key resource for agents, providing best in-service assistance for navigating electronic processes, resolving issues quickly, diligent follow-up, and promoting the importance of compliance with on-spot training and who is willing to be held accountable for their workload. The ideal candidate has experience in health insurance — specifically Medicare Advantage — with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The ideal candidate is also fluent with technology and comfortable with computer work. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for licensed agents, responding to questions via phone and email. Troubleshoot issues related to but not limited to electronic contracting, licensing, compliance, enrollments, commissions, industry trends, and general agent support needs. Offer unparalleled support as a professional liaison between carriers and agents. Provide guidance on CMS marketing guidelines and compliance standards. Assist with system navigation, documentation, and escalation when needed. Maintain accurate records of agent inquiries and resolutions. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate support. Other duties as assigned or that arise. Qualifications Active state Life & Health insurance license preferred (or willingness to obtain). 2+ years of customer service, agent support, or call center experience in health insurance. Working knowledge of Medicare Advantage enrollments and CMS marketing guidelines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Technology fluency. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Willingness to learn.
