Vacation Rental Guest Communication Specialist We are seeking a dependable, professional, and highly responsive individual to assist with guest communications for a vacation rental unit located at the Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki. This position is ideal for someone who already works remotely, is online regularly throughout the day, and can easily monitor and respond to guest communications as they come in. The position is to manage one vacation rental unit, so the overall message volume is relatively low. However, prompt and reliable communication is essential. Responsibilities Respond to all guest messages within 20 minutes Answer guest phone calls when they are received Communicate professionally and courteously with guests before, during, and after their stay Assist guests with questions regarding check-in, check-out, parking, unit access, building information, and general stay-related concerns Communicate with guests through the Airbnb app, iGMS app, phone calls, SMS/text messaging, and WhatsApp Help resolve routine guest questions or issues quickly and professionally Visit the Ilikai Hotel when an in-person presence is required Schedule & Availability This position does not have fixed working hours. Communication is based on guest needs, so candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to respond during the day, as well as on weekends and holidays. Guest messages must be responded to within 20 minutes, and incoming guest phone calls are expected to be answered when received. Because the message volume is generally low, this position may be especially well suited for someone who already works remotely, works from home, or spends much of the day online and can conveniently monitor their phone and messaging apps throughout the day. On-Site Requirement This is not a fully remote position. Although most responsibilities can be handled remotely, you must be available to visit the Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki for approximately five hours per month as needed. Reliable transportation is required. You should be dependable, attentive, courteous, and comfortable handling guest communications independently. Since the overall volume of calls and messages is relatively low, the position is less about constant work and more about being consistently available and responsive when a guest does need assistance. Experience with Airbnb, vacation rentals, hospitality, property management, or customer service is preferred, but not required.
