Receptionist/Concierge - 2nd Shift (4:00pm-12:00am) Friday/Saturday Every Week Prime West Knoxville Knoxville, TN Job Details Part-time $16 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Employee assistance program Qualifications Computer operation English Windows Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Typing Productivity software Full Job Description The receptionist/concierge is responsible for administrative support services during second shift (4 pm to 12 am) Friday and Saturday consisting of 16 hours per week. This position will represent Prime West Knoxville (Senior Independent Living) in a manner that conveys our commitment to service. The receptionist handles assignments and reception functions and performs very light common-area housekeeping, as required, in an efficient and effective manner. This position reports to the Business Office Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receives, greets, and directs residents, visitors, and staff. Receives and places telephone calls in support of general operations. Ensures that designated exterior community doors are locked at night and unlocked prior to end of shift. Ensures designated common-area bathrooms are clean and stocked with paper products. Delivers morning newspapers to appropriate apartments. Rolls silverware for dining room use. Electronically enters any requested maintenance work orders. Responds to resident(s) if/when an emergency pendant is pushed and takes appropriate action. Takes meal delivery orders for residents to kitchen staff as needed. Performs light office functions such as typing, photocopying, and computer work. Maintains current knowledge on fire and emergency protocols, i.e., fire exit routes, location of extinguishers, etc. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager and Executive Director.
JOB STANDARDS
Ability to speak, read, and write English. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum one year of secretarial experience required; two to three years preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 (Office) for Windows. Minimum one year of experience in a customer service-related field required; two or more years preferred.
EQUIPMENT
Computer, phone, calculator, copy/scan machine. Must drive a personal vehicle and possess a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching. Must be able to move about the community efficiently and without aid.
