Job Description
Concierge Account Executive, Compare Power Location:
Dallas, TX, In-office 5 days/week | Reports to: CRO | Hourly + Commission About Compare Power Compare Power is one of the largest independent electricity shopping platforms in Texas. For 16 years, we've helped millions of Texans compare and switch electricity plans across dozens of retail providers — simplifying a market that's notoriously confusing for consumers. We're a growing, Dallas-based company of about 30 people, with over 16 years of experience delighting our customers, and we're entering a new phase. We're building the next generation of our organization, investing in product and technology, and expanding into new channels and customer segments. The business is strong — now we're accelerating growth in key areas. Part of that growth is a new concierge services line: giving new movers and renters a single point of contact to get their new home connected — electricity, internet, cable, security, and other essential services — instead of researching and calling half a dozen providers themselves. This role is one of the first sales hires on that team. The Role We are hiring a Concierge Account Executive to sell our full home-services concierge offering to people in the middle of a move — one of the times customers most want (and most appreciate) someone doing the legwork for them. You'll work a mix of qualified leads and inbound conversations: outreach to movers and renters who've shown interest through our marketing, partners, or referral sources, plus calls and chats from people who find us directly. Either way, you're the one who turns "I need to get my new place connected" into a fully enrolled customer — walking them through their electricity options and layering in internet, cable, security, and other services where they make sense. This is a sales role first, but it doesn't feel like cold outreach — you're rarely starting from zero, and most conversations move quickly once you're talking to someone who's actually moving. You'll be measured on enrollments and revenue, but how you hit those numbers matters: the right plan for the customer, explained clearly, every time. This role is in the office five days a week. Being on the floor — listening to calls, getting real-time coaching, learning from teammates — is how you ramp fastest; as you build a track record, there's room to talk about a hybrid schedule. What You'll Do Work the Pipeline- Call and follow up with movers and renters who've shown interest through our marketing, partners, or referral sources
- Field inbound calls and chats from new movers and renters looking for help getting connected
- Prioritize and work your pipeline daily so no warm lead goes cold waiting on you Sell the Full Concierge Experience
- Educate customers on their electricity options and the other home services available — internet, cable, security, and more — tailored to their new address and move-in date
- Ask enough questions to actually understand what a customer needs, and recommend accordingly, not just what's fastest to close
- Handle hesitation and objections with patience, not pressure — build the kind of trust that earns a referral, not just a signature
- Walk every enrollment through to completion, confirming details before the customer hangs up Hit Your Numbers, the Right Way
- Meet and exceed enrollment, revenue, and quality targets
- Recognize additional service needs during a conversation and offer relevant options — commission follows the value you deliver
- Keep your pipeline and follow-ups organized enough that nothing slips between calls Document Everything
- Log every call, enrollment, and follow-up in the CRM with enough detail that a teammate could pick up where you left off
- Keep records accurate and current — plan details, provider confirmations, open items
- Flag patterns you're hearing from customers — confusion, objections, provider issues — to your team lead Know the Product
- Stay current on electricity plans, providers, and rates, plus the internet, cable, and security partners in our concierge lineup
- Understand Texas electricity market basics well enough to explain them simply and honestly
- Learn new providers, partners, and promotions quickly as they're added Grow With the Team
- Share what you're hearing from customers with your team lead and leadership
- Compare notes with teammates on what's converting and what isn't
- Take coaching well and apply it — this role has real room to grow as the concierge line scales What Success Looks Like At 30 Days Your first month is about learning the product, the systems, and how we sell here.
- You can confidently walk a customer through their electricity and home-service options without notes
- You're working your pipeline daily and logging clean, useful notes in the CRM
- You know the major providers and partner offerings, and where customers most often get stuck
- You've built a working relationship with your team lead and know when to ask for help At 60 Days By the end of the second month, you should be a fully productive member of the team.
- You're consistently hitting enrollment and revenue targets
- You're handling objections and closing conversations without needing a teammate to step in
- Customers you've enrolled are staying enrolled and referring others
- Leadership sees you as someone who sells the right way — and gets results doing it What We're Looking For
- A motivated, goal-oriented person who genuinely likes helping people, not just hitting a number
- Strong phone presence — clear, professional, and warm, even when a customer is hesitant or pressed for time
- Comfortable asking questions, listening for what's actually being said, and working through objections without being pushy
- Highly organized — able to manage a full pipeline of leads and follow-ups without letting things slip
- Comfortable with CRM and everyday computer systems; picks up new tools quickly
- Resilient — able to take a string of "not right now" calls and stay sharp for the next one
- 1+ years in sales, call center, or customer service preferred; inside sales or account management experience a plus
- Able to work in our Dallas office five days a week
- Nice to have: experience selling into a regulated or consumer-choice industry (energy, telecom, insurance); bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Compensation & Benefits
- Base hourly rate of $20/hr. ($41,600 a year) plus uncapped commission; total first-year target compensation with commission in the $70,000-$85,000 range
- Structured onboarding and sales training in your first weeks, with ongoing coaching as you ramp
- Medical, dental, and vision
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and holidays Why This Role Matters Moving is one of the most stressful things people do, and most of them are used to being put on hold, transferred, or sold something they didn't ask for.
