No insurance experience needed If you speak Arabic and English and you're good with people, we can teach you the rest. We pay for your licensing course, your exam, and your state application. We train you before you ever sit with a customer. You keep the license, and it's a professional credential that's yours for the rest of your career. What we can't teach is the part you already have: the ability to sit across from an Arabic-speaking family and explain something that matters, in the language they think in. What this job actually is Families in Houston need health insurance. Most of them find the process confusing: the government website, the subsidies, the deductibles, the plan names that all sound alike. It's hard enough in English. Your job has two halves. Half of it is helping families enroll. You sit with them, understand their situation, and find a plan that fits their budget and their doctors. Some of that happens in our Houston office, some by phone or video. The other half is getting out and finding them. This is not a desk job where you wait for the phone to ring. You'll be at community events, health fairs, mosques, cultural organizations, and local businesses, anywhere Arabic-speaking families gather. You'll set up tables, run enrollment days, speak to groups, and build the kind of reputation where people ask for you by name. The families you meet out in the community become the families you enroll. The better you are at the first half of the job, the busier the second half gets. What you won't do is service them afterward. We have a separate team for that. Your time stays on finding and helping new families, not on paperwork from six months ago. A typical week Out in the community Represent us at community events, health fairs, and cultural gatherings Set up and run enrollment tables and information days Build relationships with mosques, community organizations, and local business owners Speak to groups about how marketplace coverage and subsidies work Follow up with the people you met and get them scheduled With families Meet at our Houston office, or by phone and video Ask about their household, income, doctors, and prescriptions Walk through the options in Arabic or English, whichever they prefer Complete the enrollment with them and make sure it's accurate Follow up so their coverage actually starts Expect a real mix. Some days you're in the office back to back with appointments; some days you're setting up a table on a Saturday morning. What we're looking for You speak, read, and write Arabic and English well. Our members handle their entire enrollment in Arabic, so you'll need both languages every day. You're patient and you listen. A lot of this job is letting someone finish explaining their situation before you start solving it. You're honest. You'll be helping people make a decision that affects their family's health and their monthly budget. We'd rather lose a sale than place someone in the wrong plan. You're comfortable starting conversations. A good part of this job is walking up to someone at an event, introducing yourself, and being useful. If that sounds draining rather than enjoyable, this isn't the right fit. You have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license. You'll be out at events and meetings across the Dallas and Fort Worth area. We reimburse mileage. You can pass a background check and qualify for a Texas insurance license. You're available for evening and weekend events through the year, and for a heavy schedule during our busy season, November 1 through January 15. See below, we're upfront about this. Basic comfort with computers. You'll learn our software here. Customer service, retail, restaurant, banking, or community work all translate well to this. So does any job where you've had to explain something complicated to someone who was worried about money. Health insurance enrollment happens in a ten-week window, November 1 through January 15. During those weeks it is busy: long days, evenings, weekends. That's when most of the year's work happens, and it's the stretch that makes your year. The rest of the year is a more normal schedule, though community events do land on evenings and weekends year-round. If that doesn't work for your life, this probably isn't the right job, and we'd rather you know now than in November.
