Hours Part Time:
Saturday-8am-12am Sunday-11am-12am Monday-4pm-12am
Job Summary:
The duties and responsibilities of the Courtesy Officer include monitoring the safety and wellbeing of the residents and teammates of Christian Care Communities and Services. The Courtesy Officer reports to the Assistant Director of Plant Operations and the Facility Services Director.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
High School or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum required 1-year experience preferably in a health care setting
Skills:
Excellent communication skills and basic computer skills
Transportation:
Ability to ensure timely arrival and stable transportation.
Physical and Mental Effort:
The Courtesy Officer works primarily in a community environment and must be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds as needed throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet resident/family needs and deadlines.
Essential Functions:
Greet all visitors, guests, teammates, and residents in a warm, professional manner. Conduct regular driving rounds of community to check security and to assure the safety, health, and welfare of residents, teammates, and others. Drive bus for residents to attend on-campus events and church services. Correct and report situations that compromise the safety, health, and welfare of residents, teammates, and others. Assist teammates, residents, and visitors with parking and navigating the community. Monitor for trespassers, documenting license plates, make and model of vehicles. Complete forms and write up activities, rounds, work orders, and maintenance requirements into TheWorxHub. Log and respond to emergencies, and document observations, interventions, and outcomes. Assist residents and teammates with automobile breakdowns and minor maintenance issues such as stopped up toilets and sinks, light bulb changes, mopping up spills, etc. Make walking rounds outside, inside, and between buildings. Respond to emergency 911 calls, fire alarms, trespassers, security threats, and severe weather alerts. Answer phones and direct calls to proper locations. Perform assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures. Perform other assignments as requested. Establish and encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and interest in residents' activity preferences and needs. Promoting CARING is our Calling
