Front Desk Job Posting:

Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Front Desk Assistant. This is a key role within our business and we work hard to deliver top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care. This person should love dogs - and, upon successful completion of training, you can even bring YOUR dog to work with you! What a bonus! The Front Desk Assistant must meet the following requirements including demonstrating outstanding customer service both internally and externally. Satisfaction and completion of all duties are set forth as the KPIs for the position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Excellent communication - verbal and written, with team members, customers, and management Customer Service duties Sets appointments for all services Accurately and pleasantly checking out customers using the POS system. Remain unconditionally pleasant even when saying 'no' in person, on phone or in email Work with management to resolve any customer concerns Answer incoming calls and emails Assure owners of grooming and spa dogs not returning to rooms are called for pickup as soon as possible Boarding dogs: items for incoming dogs are recorded, labeled and stored appropriately and departing dogs have all belongings when they leave. Assure correct dogs are retrieved to go home from daycare, boarding or grooming and all belongings go with them Responsible for retail area cleanliness merchandise is displayed appropriately and restocked promptly. Able to handle incoming inquiries to all our services. Enthusiastically relay upcoming events and promotions to clients encouraging participation Assure incoming dogs are checked in immediately and warnings and playroom notes of concern or given to the playroom attendants.
Data entry - accurately enter:
All health and playroom notes are entered into POS before the end of each day Activity Log data is entered daily for the previous day Reporting information and tracking is kept up to date (dogs per day, birthday lists…etc) Maintains confidentiality in Dogtopia practices and all aspects of the business Filing of all client files Assist customers by knowing retail items and answering customer inquiries Entrance door locked promptly at closing Follow and complete the Daily Front Desk checklist Actively use the front desk Activity Log for communication purposes. Close register and do all end of day reporting Assure Safety of front area with appropriately placed 'wet floor' signs and dogs safely secured when in the front area Front entrance hall, bathing and lobby kept clean, appealing and safe Able to perform spa services including baths, nail trims and de-sheds Able to assist in playrooms and be familiar with the duties of Playroom Attendants. As the Front Desk Coordinator you are responsible to work with all customers and management team members to ensure our customer experience sets the highest standards and satisfaction of our customers.
