Job Description

Description Northwest Eyes is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice. We are searching for a Patient Concierge to add to our team. Our Company is nationally recognized, with vast clinical experience in a wide variety of eye surgical services, advanced technology, and proven results. Requirements Provide a great patient experience by offering personalized service during the patient registration process, including greeting the patient, collecting and/or updating demographic and financial information, and collecting co-pays. Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with patients and visitors, assist in the completion of various documents and patient paperwork, and effectively manage dynamic or escalated patient encounters. Schedule all provider appointments. Ensure pre-certifications/ prior authorizations are received, and interpreters are obtained when necessary. Collect and make changes for payments received, complete a receipt for the patient, and follow the appropriate paperwork to complete the transaction. Maintain the cash records, comparing daily cash amounts against daily transactions to ensure that records balance. Maintain the general appearance of the waiting room or reception area; straighten magazines, chairs, and coffee service area. Maintain working knowledge of all office equipment, fax, copiers, phones, postage meter, etc. Maintain inventory, ordering, and stocking supplies. Prepares and maintains for completion and accuracy electronic medical charts/records, forms, registration materials, and other related documents according to the company policies and procedures. Assures compliance with all HIPAA regulations concerning the use, retrieval, storage, and sharing of medical records. Track and order supplies as required. Maintain flexibility and perform other duties as required.
Required Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, G-Suite, and Windows environment. Willing to help in all areas, have the flexibility, and effectively work in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for exemplary customer service. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving are required to perform this role. Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, time management, and adaptability to a changing environment. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of general office experience, healthcare setting preferred.
