Job Description
About the role Crystal Saloon runs a scratch kitchen out of a high-energy, high-volume environment. Our menu spans house-made Neapolitan-style pizzas fired in a 900° oven, pasta bowls, salads, wings, and full entrees featuring locally sourced ingredients like Aurora Mushrooms, Juneau Greens produce, Alaskan Black cod, and Jerry's Meats smoked salmon. We need line cooks who are fast, consistent, and take real pride in their work. What you'll do Work the 900° pizza oven — managing dough, toppings, and timing during service Operate combi ovens for proteins, pasta components, and hot menu items Run the salad station — prepping and plating cold dishes to spec and on time Prep and portion ingredients for the full menu during opening duties Maintain a clean, organized station throughout high-volume service Follow recipe specs and plating standards every time Communicate clearly with the BOH team and assist with closing duties What we're looking for 1+ year of line cook experience in a full-service or high-volume kitchen (preferred) Combi oven or pizza oven experience a plus — we'll train the right candidate Ability to stay focused and move fast during busy service Strong team communication and a no-ego attitude Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits & compensation$18-$20/hr depending on experience.
