  • Where Teamwork and Care Come Together Northgate Health and Rehabilitation Center is hiring Cooks to join our dietary team in a fast-paced skilled nursing and long-term care facility .

What We Offer Competitive wages Shift differentials Weekly pay Comprehensive benefits package Tuition reimbursement Perfect attendance bonuses Generous holiday pay Employee referral bonuses Monthly staff appreciation activities What You'll Do Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and production guidelines Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment needed for daily service Measure, weigh, mix, chop, and prepare food items Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, grills, and fryers Use a variety of cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and food quality Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils Provide excellent service to residents, guests, and team members Follow all facility safety and sanitation policies Support the team with additional duties as needed What We're Looking For Cook experience required, preferably in skilled nursing, healthcare, or long-term care ServeSafe certification preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and food safety standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Strong communication and teamwork skills Basic math skills for measuring and portioning Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs Equal Opportunity Employer Northgate Health and Rehabilitation Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected status under applicable law.
