Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability Follow food safety management practices, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Adhere strictly to safety standards during food production, including knife skills and slicing techniques Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and quality Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent service delivery Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments with a focus on quality and efficiency Strong knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Skilled in menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Understanding of food safety standards in the food industry, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and serving teams Experience in catering or large-scale food service environments is advantageous Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and safety standards We're dedicated to fostering a lively work environment that values your contributions while supporting your professional growth.

From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 - 28.0 per week
