Job Description
Apéro Prep CookPosition Summary Apéro is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to help create exceptional dining experiences through thoughtful preparation and organization. This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring the line is stocked and ready for service. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys learning, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Responsibilities Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, dressings, stocks, and other ingredients according to chef specifications. Accurately measure, portion, and label all prepared items. Assist with breading, marinating, butchering, and other food preparation tasks. Set up and stock stations before service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, walk-ins, coolers, and dry storage. Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper temperature control and labeling. Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory. Wash dishes and kitchen equipment as needed to support the team. Communicate with the Chef regarding inventory shortages or quality concerns. Perform opening and closing kitchen duties. Qualifications Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right person. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to follow recipes and instructions with consistency. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Must be able to pass a drug screen. What We're Looking For At Apéro, we're more interested in attitude than experience. Every member of our kitchen contributes to creating memorable experiences for our guests. Schedule Thursday-Saturday evenings, Saturday brunch with additional prep hours as needed.
