Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in the food industry, working under a Certified Chef. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our recipes and guidelines. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will ensure that our customers receive high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
• Cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
• Ensure that all food is cooked properly and presented in an appealing manner
• Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager
• Maintain a clean and organized work station
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in the food industry
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, including knives
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
