Cook - Hotel Food & Beverage Operations Start Your Journey with
Midas Hospitality:
Midas Hospitality is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cook to support our Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking food for guests and hotel dining operations while maintaining quality, presentation, safety, and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in preparing food accurately and safely, and contributes to a clean, organized, and guest-focused operation.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Cook, you will prepare food for hotel guests, meetings, functions, and dining outlets while following recipes, menu specifications, service standards, and company/franchise requirements.

What You Bring:
Ability to perform essential kitchen duties safely, accurately, and consistently. Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, portioning, and kitchen sanitation preferred. Ability to read and follow recipes, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine reports or correspondence when needed. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and leaders. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, American money, weights, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and work with standardized situations. Less than a high school education, up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on hotel and Food & Beverage needs.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular standing and walking; use of hands to handle objects, tools, and controls; and occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Review menus and forecasting sheets to estimate food needs and retrieve required items from storage. Prepare soups, salads, gravies, sauces, desserts, casseroles, breads, rolls, pastries, meats, fish, vegetables, and other menu items according to recipes and standards. Operate ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, steam kettles, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Measure, mix, bake, roast, broil, steam, cut, trim, season, and plate food items to meet menu specifications. Observe and test food for proper doneness, quality, flavor, and presentation. Wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables for preparation and service. Maintain a well-stocked cook line with food, plates, utensils, and supplies needed for service. Ensure proper portions are used and food is arranged neatly according to menu specifications. Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service throughout the shift and fully clean at the end of each shift. Follow sanitation procedures, food safety practices, and precautions to help prevent foodborne illness. Prepare orders within designated service standards and ensure buffet, meeting, and function items are ready on time. Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned each shift. Adhere to company standards, franchise standards, safety procedures, and hotel policies. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned shift.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, occasionally exposed to extreme heat, and regularly works near moving mechanical parts. This is a safety-sensitive position.
