The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and experience in various culinary settings. Job Description Ability to communicate with a friendly demeanor to all staff and residents. Passionate about service to others and creating exceptional food experiences Forward-focused individuals who thrive in collaborative environments. Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards. Prepares and serve food to residents in a timely manner at specified meal times. Serve palatable, nourishing, and well-balanced diets. Be fully aware of individual resident likes, dislikes and health restrictions. Responds to community issues or concerns that may occur in the dining room. Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated. Oversees proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost. Suggests menu changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies. Cleans food stations, food service equipment, kitchen, food storage areas and washes dishes and silverware. Stock ingredients and monitor inventories. Prepares weekly menus. Able to work in an open type kitchen. Requirements High school diploma or GED Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred) Senior living community experience: 1 year (Preferred) Requires knowledge of special diets. Must pass a Live Scan criminal background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Test.
